A woman who hired a hitman for $3,000 to kill her ex-husband has been detained in Andijan.
A woman attempted to intentionally kill her husband due to a housing dispute.

A woman born in 1974, living in Asaka district of Andijan region, was found to have planned the premeditated murder of her ex-husband and was detained during an operational measure. This was reported by the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs here.
According to the report, the woman planned to kill her ex-husband, born in 1972, with whom she had been living, due to a dispute over housing, and sought a hitman for $3,000.
Based on operational information, law enforcement agencies conducted a special operation involving a conditional hitman. On July 10, the woman met the person who was supposed to carry out the murder in front of one of the residential complexes in Asaka district and initially gave him 5 million soums as a service fee. She also stated that she would pay the remaining amount after confirming the ex-husband's death and provided a written receipt.
During the operational measure on the night of July 11, the conditional hitman staged the man's murder using makeup and called the female client to the scene. When the woman, believing her ex-husband was dead, got into the car to hand over the agreed-upon money, she was apprehended with material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Article 97, Part 2, Clause "i" through Article 25 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is currently ongoing.
It is worth recalling that in March of this year, a woman in Namangan region was found to have conspired with her lover to kill her husband through a hitman. Additionally, in May, a man in Tashkent who offered $10,000 to a hitman to kill his common-law wife was also detained during an operational measure.
