Saida Mirziyoyeva attended the opening of the Center for Contemporary Art.

The opening ceremony of the Center for Contemporary Art (“CCA Tashkent”) was held in Tashkent. This was reported by the head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, announced.

It was noted that this venue houses exhibition halls, a library, a concept store, educational spaces, as well as public areas intended for meetings and research. The breadth of its scope elevates it to the level of the first digital complex of its kind across the entire Central Asian region.

The new cultural cluster is located in the historic building of the former diesel power station, which dates back to 1912. The architectural transformation of the structure was carried out by the world-renowned “Studio KO” bureau. Now, exhibitions, scientific research processes, lectures, open dialogues, film screenings, concerts, and performances will be regularly held here.

Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the emergence of another such prestigious, modern space in the country is of particular significance. “CCA Tashkent” will establish close cooperation with artists, curators, and international organizations, paving the way for talented Uzbek individuals to reach new audiences and gain worthy recognition on foreign stages.

“This project was realized thanks to the initiatives of our President and the great efforts of the Uzbekistan Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts,” wrote Saida Mirziyoyeva.
