Fire broke out on a ship in the Black Sea: two people died
Romanian media reports that a drone strike was carried out on a Turkish ship loaded with grain.

A fire broke out on the vessel Royad Mammadov in the Black Sea, outside Romania's territorial waters. Two people died in the incident, and 11 crew members were rescued. Reuters reported this, citing Romanian officials reported.
Romania's Ministry of Internal Affairs described the vessel with the 11 rescued crew members as a sinking ship. The country's Maritime Administration stated that the incident was specifically related to the fire on the Royad Mammadov vessel.
Officials did not disclose the cause of the fire. A representative of Romania's Maritime Administration also said they could not provide additional information about the incident.
Romanian media reported that the vessel belonged to Turkey and was carrying grain. According to their information, the incident occurred near an oil platform managed by Romania's OMV Petrom company.
According to VesselFinder.com data, the vessel, sailing under the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis, was heading to the Italian port of Ravenna. The vessel was last in Ukraine's Izmail port.
So far, what caused the fire, including reports of a drone strike on the vessel, have not been confirmed by officials.
Romania has a 614-kilometer land border with Ukraine. Since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, incidents such as Russian drones entering the country's airspace, as well as mines floating along important trade and energy routes in the Black Sea, have been observed.
