A woman fell into a coma after childbirth in Tashkent: the prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation
The woman is said to have been in a serious condition for half a year. The health department announced that a service investigation has been conducted regarding the situation.

Reports spread on social networks that a pregnant woman in Uchtepa district fell into a serious condition after a cesarean section and has been in a coma for six months. The Tashkent City Health Department issued an official statement regarding this situation.
According to the statement, on April 24 of this year, M.M., at the 38th week of pregnancy, complained of severe pain in the lower abdomen and lumbar region, applied to Tashkent City Interdistrict Perinatal Center No. 9, and was admitted to the maternity ward.
During labor, the woman underwent peridural anesthesia. After that, within a short time, her arterial blood pressure dropped sharply, peripheral pulse was not detected, and cardiac activity stopped.
The patient was immediately placed on cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After cardiac activity was restored, a cesarean section was performed, and a live baby boy was delivered.
Due to the development of high spinal block, hypotension, and hypoxia in the woman, she was kept on prolonged artificial lung ventilation. The patient, who was treated on April 24–27 in the intensive care unit of Interdistrict Perinatal Center No. 9, was subsequently transferred by reanimobile to the neurointensive care unit of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care.
According to the conclusion of the service inspection conducted by the Tashkent City Health Department, the medical care provided to the patient was carried out in accordance with the current national clinical protocols. The high spinal block that occurred in her was assessed as one of the rare anesthesiological complications.
At the same time, a forensic medical examination has been appointed to give a legal assessment of the situation. Currently, pre-investigation examination actions are being continued by the Uchtepa district prosecutor's office.
