According to the publication, the riots began in the Belgian city of Liège. Local media reported that more than 200 people were detained this month in connection with student protests.
The demonstrations also spread to Brussels. It is noted that protest participants are opposing reforms in the education sector and increases in tuition fees.
Additionally, in the city of Liège, authorities have banned gatherings of more than three people in public places until October 16.
Earlier, it was reported that due to ongoing student protests across France, the educational process was fully or partially disrupted in 375 lyceums.
Since the protests began, 215 students, more than 700 law enforcement officers, and nearly 100 education sector employees have been affected.
