An air quality warning has been issued in Tashkent: when will the change be observed?

On the night of October 10 in Tashkent, air quality is expected to temporarily deteriorate due to unfavorable meteorological conditions. During the night and morning hours, air quality according to the international AQI index may be mainly unfavorable for sensitive groups, but according to national standards, it is forecast to remain at a "good" level.

According to the authorized body in the field of ecology and climate change, at night the air temperature is expected to drop to 14 degrees, and wind speed is expected to be 0–2 meters per second.

Weak wind and temperature inversion — the cooling of the air layer near the earth's surface while the air above it remains relatively warm — can limit air exchange in the lower layers of the atmosphere. As a result, PM2.5 and PM10 fine particles may accumulate in the layer near the earth's surface, and their amount may temporarily increase.

During the day, due to the heating of the earth's surface and increased mixing of air layers, air quality is expected to gradually improve. Therefore, it is recommended not to stay outdoors for long periods in the evening.

It is noted that atmospheric air quality is being continuously monitored by a Special Commission.
