Treatment and investigation efforts are ongoing regarding the mass poisoning incident recorded among children of preschool age in the Fergana region.

 

According to information provided by the press service of the regional health department, as of 08:00 on February 25th, 22 children undergoing treatment at the regional infectious diseases hospital and the Fergana city children's hospital have been discharged home as their health has improved. These children are currently under outpatient observation.

 

The overall condition of the remaining patients receiving treatment in hospitals is assessed by specialists as relatively satisfactory. Medical staff have placed their health under constant monitoring, and it was reported that plans are in place to discharge several more children home by the end of the day.

 

Comprehensive investigative work regarding the incident is being carried out by the sanitary-epidemiological service and other relevant responsible agencies. In particular, inspections have been organized in the kitchens of preschool educational institutions and at enterprises supplying food products, with necessary laboratory samples taken and sent for analysis.

 

The results of the laboratory tests obtained by specialists are expected to be officially announced to the public within a 10-day period.

 

The incident is being investigated by the relevant agencies in accordance with established procedures.

 

We remind you that it was previously reported that a mass poisoning of kindergarten-age children was recorded in the Fergana region and that a criminal case had been opened.
