It has been determined that the student who stole the BMW caused the death of the YPK employee in Tashkent.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding a severe traffic accident that occurred with the participation of a road patrol service (RPS) inspector in the Mirobod district of Tashkent city.

According to the investigation documents, a minor born in 2010, a 10th-grade student, on February 25 at around 21:30, drove away a BMW car left with the keys at a car wash belonging to his acquaintance's older sister.

It is reported that the suspect, while moving along Nukus Street in Mirobod district, did not comply with the lawful demand of RPS inspector Khasilbek Eshnazarov, who gave a stop signal to regulate traffic flow. The minor, who did not have a driver's license or documents for the vehicle, in order to evade responsibility, sharply overtook other cars, creating an emergency situation and hit the inspector who was performing his official duties.

Despite the indicated necessary medical assistance, the RPS inspector died on February 27.

During the preliminary investigation, it was established that the minor's actions contained signs of vehicle theft and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim's death. He has been charged as a suspect of committing crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article 267 and subparagraph "d" of Part 3 of Article 104 of the Criminal Code.

Currently, the suspect has been detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The investigative actions are under special supervision by the Prosecutor General's Office.
