Issues of enhancing the combat readiness of the troops and providing them with modern weapons were considered in the presence of the President.

On March 3, a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held, dedicated to issues of strengthening the country's defense capability. It discussed further enhancing Uzbekistan's defense potential, ensuring military security, and the execution of priority tasks.

The meeting also reviewed the progress in implementing the tasks set at the expanded meeting of the Security Council of Uzbekistan on January 13 of this year.

It was noted that in the context of persisting hotspots of tension and conflict in the world, intensifying geopolitical rivalry, and the emergence of new risks and threats, the issue of strengthening the country's defense capability is of particular importance.

The meeting was briefed on the work being carried out by the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan to increase the combat readiness of troops, the rapid training of military units and subunits, and their provision with modern weapons and equipment.

It was also noted that it is necessary to study the advanced experience of developed countries and introduce modern approaches to the military management system and the training process. In particular, the importance of widely using new technologies, including unmanned systems and digital control solutions, to increase the effectiveness of troops was emphasized.

The meeting set specific tasks for modernizing and developing the infrastructure of military-administrative sectors, training grounds, military educational institutions, and material-technical supply facilities in accordance with modern requirements.

Relevant instructions were also given regarding improving the system of training military personnel, strengthening scientific research, and expanding programs aimed at mastering modern weapons and technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the head of state outlined priority tasks for the further development of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and strengthening the country's defense capability.
