The US embassy in Saudi Arabia was attacked by drones.
Donald Trump stated that the attack on the embassy will not go unanswered.

An attack with two drones on the U.S. embassy in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, resulted in a fire within the diplomatic compound, causing minor material damage to embassy buildings. Al Jazeera reported this, citing the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
According to reports, after the attack, black smoke rose over the quarter in Riyadh where foreign diplomatic missions are located.
Sources reported hearing a loud explosion and a fire breaking out in the embassy area. However, the Saudi Ministry of Defense and one of the sources emphasized that the fire following the drone attack was small-scale. The embassy building was empty during the attack, and there is no information about casualties.
Furthermore, reports later circulated that several more drones had targeted the area against the backdrop of Iran's strikes across the Gulf, carried out in response to U.S.-Israeli attacks.
In a statement to NewsNation, U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States would not leave the attack on the embassy and the deaths of several American military personnel unanswered. "You will find out soon," the president said, alluding to a response.
A source close to Saudi military circles confidentially informed AFP that air defense systems had destroyed four drones directed at the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh.
On Tuesday morning, the U.S. embassy issued a warning to U.S. citizens in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, advising them to stay in secure locations and avoid approaching the embassy area amid the backdrop of attacks.
Simultaneously, Iran announced that a strike had also been carried out on a U.S. military base in Bahrain. This situation is increasing pressure on Arab states in the Persian Gulf hosting U.S. facilities in response to U.S.-Israeli attacks.
