A drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul was bombed: 400 people were killed.

The Afghan government has accused Pakistani military of carrying out an airstrike on a drug rehabilitation center in Kabul, resulting in the deaths of at least 400 people. Al Jazeera reported on this.

According to representatives of the "Taliban" government, the strike targeted the "Umar" rehabilitation center in Kabul around 21:00 local time. Deputy Press Secretary Hamidullah Fitrat stated that a large part of the 2000-bed hospital was destroyed.

Initial information indicates that at least 400 people were killed and another approximately 250 civilians were injured as a result of the attack. Rescue services are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire at the scene and retrieve bodies from the rubble.

An eyewitness to the incident, hospital guard Omid Stanikzay, said that military aircraft sounds were heard in the sky before the attack.

"There were military units around us. When these military units fired at the aircraft, the plane dropped a bomb and a fire broke out. All the dead and injured were representatives of the civilian population," he said.

"Taliban" official spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid strongly condemned this strike and accused Pakistan of violating Afghan airspace and targeting a peaceful facility. He described this situation as a "crime against international principles and humanity."

The Pakistani side denied the accusations. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's press secretary Musharraf Zaydi stated that no hospital in Kabul was targeted, calling these claims "baseless."

According to a statement from the Pakistani Ministry of Information, the strikes carried out on March 16 were aimed only at military facilities and terrorist infrastructure. Officials claim these facilities, located in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces, were used in attacks against Pakistan.

Furthermore, Islamabad has been accusing Afghanistan of providing shelter to "Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan" militants operating in Pakistan. "Taliban" officials have denied these allegations several times.

So far, there is no final information confirmed through independent sources regarding the incident. The situation could further escalate tensions between the two countries.
