An Uzbek woman fell from the fourth floor of a multi-story building in Izmir, Turkey. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
According to preliminary information, the 22-year-old citizen from Namangan region, Sevadora Hakimjonova, was involved in the incident while living in Izmir. She is currently being treated in a state hospital, and doctors assess her condition as serious.
It is reported that the woman married a Turkish citizen based on an imam's marriage, but this marriage was not officially registered. The marriage ceremony took place in the Chust district. Later, the couple moved to Izmir and lived with the groom's relatives.
It is noted that her husband, like the deceased, is a person with hearing and speech impairments.
Regarding this incident, Turkish law enforcement agencies have initiated a criminal case and are conducting investigative actions to determine the details of the event. The collected materials will be reviewed by the prosecutor's office.
The Consulate General stated that the situation is under control and that cooperation with the competent Turkish authorities continues regarding the victim's health and the investigation process.
