The President of France responded to Trump's criticisms.
Macron said the US did not coordinate with France before launching military operations against Iran.

French President Emmanuel Macron responded to US President Donald Trump's criticism that Paris is not sufficiently supporting actions in the Middle East.
Earlier, Trump expressed dissatisfaction that France had not allowed US military aircraft carrying equipment destined for Israel to fly through its airspace.
Macron emphasized that the US did not consult with France before initiating military operations against Iran and stated that the country is not participating in these actions.
"France is not a participant in this operation and there were no consultations about it. Therefore, it is natural that it is not involved. It has been this way from the start," he said during his visit to Tokyo.
The French leader called on the conflicting parties to reduce tensions and resume negotiations. According to him, the failure to propose a clear political solution after prolonged bombings negatively impacts regional stability.
Macron also noted that France and Japan, together with other countries, could play a specific role in ensuring safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz. He specifically stressed that military measures are not being considered in this regard.
