Travel time by car from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan may be shortened.
A road is being built bypassing Saryagash in the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan.

The construction of a bypass road around Saryagash in Kazakhstan's Turkistan region is expected to reduce the city's traffic load and accelerate transit to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Kazakhstan.
It is reported that this bypass road will allow for diverting transit traffic outside the city, reducing the load on the city's road network, and significantly speeding up traffic in the direction of Uzbekistan.
The project envisages the construction of a modern, Category I highway, 102.6 kilometers long with four traffic lanes. The road will comply with modern international standards and create conditions for the continuous and safe movement of vehicles.
According to the report, this year it is planned to implement 5 more medium-repair projects with a total length of 103 km on the "Shymkent - Kyzylorda" highway.
The comprehensive implementation of these projects will form a modern and safe road network, improve the quality of transport services in the region, and strengthen Kazakhstan's transit potential in Central Asia.
