The Strait of Hormuz has been closed again.

Iran accused the United States of violating the peace.

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed again.

Iran has restricted maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz following Israel's large-scale attacks on Lebanon. This was reported by the Fars agency.

It is reported that the Iranian naval forces have warned that ships attempting to pass without Tehran's permission will be "destroyed."

After the US and Iran reached a two-week truce on April 8, Iran was supposed to not obstruct maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, and the US was to stop strikes on Tehran. After the truce, two ships belonging to Greek owners managed to pass through the strait.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the closure of Hormuz was "absolutely unacceptable."

"I reiterate the President's demand that the Strait of Hormuz must be reopened immediately, quickly, and safely," she said.

Tasnim wrote that if Israel does not stop its operations in Lebanon, Iran is prepared to withdraw from the truce made with the US. Including a ceasefire for Lebanon in the terms of the agreement was a mandatory part of the deal. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the truce does not apply to Lebanon.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said three key articles of the 10-point plan, which Tehran based the ceasefire on, have been violated. According to him, the actions of the US and Israel have made a bilateral truce "illogical."

The three key articles mentioned by Ghalibaf are as follows:

The first is the non-compliance with the article on a ceasefire in Lebanon. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also alluded to this, stating that the truce applies to all fronts, including Lebanon.

The second is the violation of Iranian airspace: an Israeli-owned Hermes 900 drone was shot down over the skies of Lar city in Fars province.

The third is the denial of Iran's right to enrich uranium. This right is reinforced in the sixth article of Iran's proposal.

However, Trump claimed that the parties had taken the US's 15-point plan as the basis for negotiations, which envisaged stopping uranium enrichment.

Iran announced it will not participate in the negotiations scheduled for April 10 in Islamabad. According to sources, the delegation was supposed to be headed by Ghalibaf himself. The US side is expected to be represented by Vice President J.D. Vance.

Furthermore, during an interview given during his visit to Hungary, J.D. Vance stated that the truce established between the US and Iran is very fragile.
