Up to 500 hectares of land are being auctioned for industrialized plantation and livestock projects.
Based on this, at least 5 major projects will be launched in each region by 2026 itself. The costs for water and electricity supply for the projects will be covered.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with proposals aimed at more efficient use of land resources.
It was reported that systematic work has been carried out in Uzbekistan over the past five years to reform land relations. In particular, the authority to allocate land was taken away from khokims (governors), and a procedure for allocating land plots through auctions was introduced. During this period, 616.3 thousand hectares of land were allocated through auctions, providing budget revenues of 1.4 trillion soums.
As a result of the emergence of real land owners, the income per hectare has tripled, reaching 50-60 million soums. Today, these lands produce 539 trillion soums worth of products annually and generate $2.1 billion in exports.
At the same time, it was pointed out that there are a number of issues in the sector that need to be resolved. For example, although land is allocated through auctions, the independence of tenants in using it is still insufficient. For this reason, 117.6 thousand hectares of land remain unsold to this day.
Therefore, it is planned to introduce a new system for leasing agricultural land and to put another 100 thousand hectares of land up for auction under the new procedure this year. In this regard, special attention is paid to strengthening economic incentives in land use.
According to the report, it was emphasized that the experiment introduced last year in the Fergana Valley regions, Jizzakh, Tashkent regions, and Karakalpakstan regarding independent crop placement on sold lands has yielded good results. In particular, in 2025, entrepreneurs planted high-income and export-oriented crops of their choice on 16 thousand hectares out of 20 thousand hectares, creating a basis for $150 million in exports. It was noted that it is now important to expand this experience and provide land users with even greater economic freedom.
It was decided to put land plots from 50 to 500 hectares up for auction for industrialized plantation and livestock projects, and on this basis, to launch at least 5 major projects in each region within the current year itself. It was emphasized that a number of financial support measures will be introduced for these projects, including covering water and electricity supply costs, providing cheap loans for up to 7 years with a 3-year preferential period, compensating loan interest rates, and subsidizing up to 50% of product packaging costs.
