President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the "New Uzbekistan" residential area in the city of Kokand.
A total of over 1.8 trillion soums has been allocated for the construction of the complex. A comprehensive infrastructure designed for 25,000 residents is being developed in the area.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Fergana region began with an inspection of the construction works underway in the "New Uzbekistan" residential complex in the city of Kokand. The President's press service reported this.

It was reported that special attention is being paid to improving the living conditions of the population and introducing modern urban planning standards to the regions. In this regard, the "New Uzbekistan" residential complexes being built in the regions are among the major social projects aimed at increasing the well-being of the people.
The new complex rising in the ancient city of Kokand is being formed not only as a housing estate but also as a modern center that transforms the economic and social image of the area.
Kokand has always been one of the densely populated cities with developed entrepreneurship. Therefore, the demand for housing here is increasing year by year. Outdated infrastructure and limited living spaces necessitate the expansion of the city on a new basis.
It is noted that this complex, built based on the instructions given by the President during his visit to the Fergana region two years ago, is a practical solution to this very need. Here, families are being provided with modern apartments equipped with all amenities.

A total of 1 trillion 850 billion soums have been allocated for the construction of the complex. A comprehensive infrastructure designed for 25,000 residents is being formed in the area. Along with 84 multi-story buildings, the construction of modern schools, preschool educational institutions, a higher education institution, business and shopping centers, as well as parks for public recreation, is planned.
These works will create opportunities for the residents of the new complex to work, study, use trade and services, and have meaningful leisure time without leaving their homes.

Currently, the first phase of the project has been successfully completed, with 56 ten-story buildings comprising 4,394 apartments put into use. The ready-to-move-in apartments are being provided to the population with a 35% down payment, at an annual rate of 16%, for a term of 20 years.

The head of state entered one of the new apartments and familiarized himself with the created conditions and furnishings. Emphasizing the social significance of the complex, he noted that the new environment being formed here should serve to elevate people's worldview, quality of life, and living culture.

A sincere conversation took place with the elders of Fergana. They noted that, based on the principle of a social state, human interests are being ensured in the regions, and modern educational and medical institutions, prosperous neighborhoods, new enterprises, and entrepreneurial opportunities are changing people's lives. The elders expressed gratitude to the head of state, stating that these works are strengthening abundance, prosperity, and social stability in the country.

Right there, the President familiarized himself with the presentation on the second phase of the "New Uzbekistan" residential complex and the development of the city of Kokand.
