The complaint of the Minister of Energy regarding Otabek Bakirov's critical posts is being reviewed.

The case regarding the next complaint filed by Energy Minister Jo‘rabek Mirzamahmudov against economist Otabek Bakirov with the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department (IIBB) is being reviewed again. The economist announced this on his Telegram channel reported.

According to reports, after the initiation of a criminal case on his previous appeal was rejected, the minister submitted another request to the internal affairs bodies on December 26, 2024, asking for a legal assessment and action regarding several posts published on the "bakiroo" Telegram channel.

Approximately 14 months later, on January 23, 2026, the Tashkent City IIBB made a decision to refuse the initiation of a criminal case regarding this matter.

However, it became known that on March 25, 2026, the Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office overturned the refusal decision. The case has now been transferred to the Yashnobod District IIBB and is being reviewed again.

According to the economist, the complaint is related to objections expressed in December 2024 regarding the Avto24 app, which was said to provide information about gas availability and queues at methane filling stations, as well as posts about interruptions in gas and electricity supply in Tashkent district with the aim of "meeting the plan."

"Interestingly, the complaint and the reopened case are again related to posts from almost 1.5 years ago, and the unchanged aspect is that on the day this post was written, the electricity went out three times, for nearly 4 hours," wrote Bakirov.
