What is Uzbekistan's ranking in the list of corrupt countries?
A new report on the level of corruption in the world's countries has been released.

Transparency International has published the results of the latest Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), which reflects the state of corruption in the public sector across countries worldwide.
According to the report, Uzbekistan scored 31 points, ranking 124th. While the country's indicator has slightly improved compared to previous years, it is noted that a number of problems in the fight against corruption still persist.
Among Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan recorded the highest result. The country ranked 96th with 38 points. Kyrgyzstan took 142nd place with 26 points, Tajikistan ranked 166th with 19 points, and Turkmenistan placed 167th with 17 points.
The study assessed countries on a scale from 0 to 100. In the index, 0 points represent a high level of corruption, while 100 points indicate that the public sector is almost entirely free of corruption.
According to the report, the global average score was 42 points. More than two-thirds of countries recorded results below this level.
At the top of the ranking, Denmark took the lead with 89 points. Additionally, Finland (88 points), Singapore (84 points), New Zealand and Norway (81 points each), and Sweden (80 points) were noted as countries with the lowest levels of corruption.
At the bottom of the list are countries that have been experiencing armed conflicts and political instability for many years. South Sudan recorded the lowest result, ranking 181st with 9 points.
Transparency International experts emphasized that the insufficient independence of the judiciary and the weakness of democratic institutions are among the main factors contributing to the persistence of corruption.
