Uzbekistan and Algeria have agreed to expand political and economic cooperation.
Views were exchanged on cooperation within international organizations, the Non-Aligned Movement, the UN, and other multilateral platforms, as well as on issues of mutual support.

Negotiations took place in Algiers between the delegation of Uzbekistan and the delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported on this.
It was noted that during the meetings held in narrow and expanded formats, issues of intensifying political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Algeria, expanding trade-economic and investment cooperation, as well as strengthening cultural-humanitarian ties were discussed.

The parties noted that Algeria is an important and promising partner on the African continent and emphasized that there is significant potential between the two countries that has not yet been fully utilized. Special attention was paid during the negotiations to enriching historical friendly relations with practical partnership, establishing regular dialogue at the highest and high levels, and expanding joint projects.
Furthermore, an exchange of views took place on cooperation within the framework of international organizations, mutual support within the Non-Aligned Movement, the UN, and other multilateral platforms.

The regional and international situation was also discussed, with particular attention given to the situation in the Middle East. The parties emphasized the crucial importance of restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy in ensuring stability and reducing tensions.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, a number of documents aimed at developing bilateral cooperation were signed. These included the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria on the mutual exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements, and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Academy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Diplomatic and International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.

It was noted that these documents create a legal basis for intensifying political dialogue, expanding diplomatic ties, and strengthening cooperation in the field of personnel training.
Additionally, the delegation was received by the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. At the beginning of the meeting, the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, were conveyed.
During the conversation, prospects for bringing relations between Uzbekistan and Algeria to a qualitatively new level, intensifying political dialogue, expanding trade-economic and investment cooperation, and developing cultural-humanitarian ties were discussed.

Furthermore, an exchange of views took place on pressing issues on the regional and international agenda, as well as prospects for cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue cooperation to enrich the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Algeria with new content, fully utilize the existing potential, and achieve concrete practical results.
