"My brain shut down": The driver of a Cobalt that hit several cars in Tashkent commented on the situation
After the incident, the driver was placed in the city psychiatric hospital.

In Tashkent city, a Cobalt car that failed to comply with the lawful stop request of internal affairs officers and committed a series of violations was stopped through the use of a service weapon. The driver commented on the incident.
According to information, the incident occurred around 21:30 on June 11 on Shota Rustaveli Street in the Yakkasaray district. The car was driven by a citizen born in 1982, who is registered at a neuropsychiatric hospital.
It is noted that the driver did not comply with the lawful stop requests of internal affairs officers, drove into oncoming traffic, ignored prohibitory traffic light signals, and damaged several vehicles during the movement.
According to the Department of Internal Affairs (IIBB), his actions posed a serious threat to the lives and health of other drivers and pedestrians.
Additional forces and resources were deployed to stop the driver. However, he repeatedly failed to comply with requests to exit the vehicle and attempted to continue driving. Subsequently, a service weapon was used.
First, a warning shot was fired into the air, and then a shot was fired at the car's wheel to stop it.
In a video released by the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the driver himself commented on the incident, stating that he cannot remember why he acted this way.
"I don't know what happened. Honestly, I can't remember. My mind went blank, I think. I don't know why I did this," he said.
According to the Department of Internal Affairs, after the incident, the driver was placed in the city's neuropsychiatric hospital. Currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted regarding this situation.
