Two villages of Uzbekistan were given to Kyrgyzstan.
It is said that land plots equal to the area of Uzbekistan have been transferred.

Within the framework of the processes of demarcating the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the villages of Chong'ara and Tosh-Tepa, which were part of the Fergana region, have been transferred to the territory of Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Askat Alagozov, as reported by 24.kg.
According to Alagozov, approximately 2,500 ethnic Kyrgyz living in these villages will now receive Kyrgyz citizenship.

It is reported that in exchange, the Kyrgyz side transferred to Uzbekistan land plots of equal area in the border region.
Additionally, land plots of equal value with a total area of 236 hectares were exchanged between the villages of Soy and Tayan for the purpose of constructing a highway.
Once the new road is put into operation, the population of the Batken region will be able to travel from Aydarken to Batken covering a distance of 55 kilometers instead of a 225-kilometer detour.
For reference, the agreement on certain sections of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was signed by the foreign ministers of the two countries in November 2022. In January 2023, during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Bishkek, the parties exchanged ratification instruments.
