New Ambassador of Algeria to Uzbekistan appointed

Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria to Uzbekistan, Jamila Ashur.
It was reported that the meeting discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Algeria, as well as prospects for its further development.
The parties exchanged views on the outcomes of the official visit of the Uzbek delegation to Algeria in June 2026 and the implementation of the agreements reached.
Readiness was also expressed to intensify bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, investment, education, culture, and other promising areas.
At the end of the meeting, Bakhtiyor Saidov wished Jamila Ashur success in her diplomatic activities in Uzbekistan.
