Uzbekistan

Despite the scorching heat in Uzbekistan, interest in summer tourism is growing.

In the first six months of 2026, more than 6.56 million foreign tourists visited the country, which is nearly 25 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Despite the scorching heat in Uzbekistan, interest in summer tourism is growing.

Even during the hottest days of summer, travel across Uzbekistan has not lost its popularity. This is due to the increase in recent years in the number of hotels with swimming pools, water parks, mountain resorts, and modern recreation areas along water bodies.

According to data from the Tourism Committee, more than 1.2 million foreign tourists visited the country in June alone. This shows that Uzbekistan remains an attractive destination for travelers even during the summer season.

One of the regions with the most developed summer recreation infrastructure is Tashkent region, where mountain resorts in Charvak and Bostanliq, hotels with swimming pools, and water parks are welcoming thousands of guests.

In the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, alongside historical monuments, modern hotels, swimming pools, and SPA services are being offered to tourists. The Tudakul reservoir in Bukhara region has become one of the popular destinations for domestic tourism with its beaches, boat rides, and water sports.

Summer tourism infrastructure is also expanding in the Fergana Valley regions. The "Valley of Legends" complex in Namangan operates a large water park and 16 swimming pools, while modern water parks and hotels with pools in Andijan and Fergana are serving tourists.

The Zamin mountain resorts in Jizzakh region and recreation areas along Lake Aydarkul, as well as the Aydarkul lake system in Navoi, are developing as the most popular ecotourism destinations. In these areas, services such as lakeside recreation, boat rides, desert safaris, and overnight stays in yurts have been established.

In Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, and Karakalpakstan, the number of hotels with swimming pools and water entertainment complexes is also growing. Modern hotels are also serving tourists traveling from Nukus to the Aral Sea and the Ustyurt Plateau.

It is noted that today summer tourism in Uzbekistan is becoming richer not only with visits to historical monuments but also with opportunities for recreation at mountain resorts, swimming pools, SPA centers, and water attractions. As a result, the scorching weather is not reducing interest in traveling across the country.
