Before the Independence Day holiday, "Topical 40 Days" cleanliness events have begun in Uzbekistan.

In connection with the 35th anniversary of Independence in Uzbekistan, "Topical 40 Days" environmental events are being held throughout the republic from July 28 to September 6. During this period, extensive landscaping, sanitation and cleaning works, and waste management activities are being carried out in the regions.

According to the statement of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, the main goal of the events is to strengthen sanitation and cleaning efforts, improve the waste management system, and enhance the ecological culture of the population.

Based on the approved plan, practical events are being organized throughout the republic by the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development under the Committee, its regional departments, and the state institution "Directorate for Landfill Management."

To coordinate the events, special headquarters have been established in the Agency and its regional structures. Responsible staff have been assigned to each region, a duty system has been introduced, and daily monitoring of the ongoing work has been established.

It is noted that the "Topical 40 Days" events are being held within the framework of ensuring the implementation of Presidential Resolution No. PQ-120 dated April 1, 2026. Information about the work carried out is submitted to the Agency daily and summarized at the national level.

The National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change called on state bodies, enterprises and organizations, business entities, and citizens to actively participate in environmental events and contribute to the beautification of populated areas and the protection of the environment.
