Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have agreed on the next steps regarding the exchange of territories.
A joint working group was established to implement agreements on the exchange of territories. The group will address issues of citizenship, relocation, property rights, land use, and social protection.

Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have outlined further practical steps for implementing previously reached agreements on the exchange of land areas. This was reported by 24.kg.
This issue was discussed at a meeting of the joint working commission of the two states, held in the Kadamjay district of Kyrgyzstan's Batken region.
At the meeting, issues of citizenship of the population of the territories to be exchanged, their relocation, acceptance and transfer of state property objects, formalization of citizens' property rights, land use, and social protection were considered.
Attention was also paid to ensuring the continuity of the educational process for the population of these territories.
At the end of the meeting, the composition of the joint working group, consisting of representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries as well as local government bodies, was approved.
The working group will deal with the practical resolution of issues related to the exchange of territories. Its representatives will visit the territories to be exchanged and regularly provide information to the co-chairs of the commission on the work done and the results achieved.
From the Kyrgyz side, the commission is headed by First Deputy Minister Kamchibek Dosmatov, and from the Uzbek side, by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs B. B. Qudratkhojayev.
