President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev launched the construction of the “Azerbaijan” park in New Tashkent.

4 hectares of land have been allocated for the park in New Tashkent. A modern public space reflecting Azerbaijan’s rich culture, centuries-old history, and national traditions will be established here. It will become a place demonstrating the cultural closeness and friendship of the two fraternal peoples.

For reference, during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Azerbaijan, a foundation stone was solemnly laid for the “Uzbekistan” park in the “White City” area of Baku.

In this complex, to be established on 4.5 hectares, Uzbekistan’s rich culture and traditions, and the national school of architecture will be uniquely showcased. It envisages the creation of architectural symbols of the country’s historical monuments, green areas, and walking spaces.

It was noted that the “Azerbaijan” park in Tashkent and the “Uzbekistan” park in Baku will be another vivid symbol of the centuries-old friendship, mutual respect, and spiritual closeness of the two peoples.

The heads of state placed a symbolic capsule on the site of the future park, giving the start to the implementation of the project.
