A service for pre-booking a place in a cemetery has been introduced in Bishkek.
According to a decision of the city council of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, only a person whose spouse has died may use this service. In this case, the place to be reserved must be next to the deceased's grave.
The price of the service has been set at 150,647 Kyrgyz som for 10 years.
As of October 9, 2026, four people in Bishkek have used this opportunity to pre-book a place in a cemetery.
