Ukraine needs a new president — Trump

US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should elect a new leader who can make a deal to end the war. He also criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for strikes on Russia's oil refineries. BBC reported this.

“I suggest that Ukraine find a new leader who can make a deal. Zelenskyy could have reached many deals, but he is not doing so,” Trump said.

It is noted that the US president emphasized that attacks on Russian oil refineries have affected the rise in diesel fuel prices. He also indirectly accused Zelenskyy of not striving to end the war.

Trump also confirmed that Washington asked Kyiv to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries.

“We told Zelenskyy: 'Do whatever you want, but do not strike diesel fuel production facilities.' And what is he doing? He goes and strikes exactly these facilities. He can do whatever he wants, but not this,” Trump said.
