A series of rapid operational measures were carried out by the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service with the aim of turning Zangiata district into a safe and crime-free area, following the example of the capital's territories, as well as combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

 

During the conducted rapid operational measures, in particular, a 22-year-old citizen residing in Yakkasaroy district was exposed while attempting to sell 26 units of potent narcotic substances to an undercover buyer for 2 million soums. The press service of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported.

 

Furthermore, rapid operational measures were consistently continued in Sergeli, Quyichirchiq, Qibray, and Mirzo Ulugbek districts, where three men and two women, aged between 26 and 50, were apprehended while delivering pharmaceutical substances to the aforementioned individual.

 

As a result of the rapid operations, within four days, a drug trafficking chain consisting of a total of six individuals was exposed. From them, 98 units of various sizes and types of potent narcotic substances and 135 grams of hashish were seized and formalized according to procedural order.

 

In addition, in another case identified in Zangiata district, a citizen born in 1993 and residing in Kokand city was apprehended with material evidence while attempting to sell 1,181 units of psychotropic preparations to an undercover buyer for 30 million soums.

 

It was reported that over the past 40 days, a total of 16 criminal cases related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were identified in Zangiata district, and the activities of two organized criminal groups were completely halted.

 

As a result of the rapid measures taken, 1 kilogram of various narcotic drugs, 1,371 units of potent narcotic substances, and 400 grams of synthetic narcotic drugs equivalent to 2,000 doses were seized from illicit trafficking.

 

Rapid search and preventive measures in this direction are being consistently continued.
