The increase in gas prices from March 1 has been denied.
The Ministry of Energy stated that prices have not increased, but the established social norm has changed during the winter season.

Reports are circulating on social media that natural gas prices have increased since March 1. The Ministry of Energy has commented on this.
It is noted that natural gas prices have not been increased since March 1. Payments will be made at the old tariff. However, starting March 1, the social norm established for the winter season has changed.
It is emphasized that during the heating season, the base norm for natural gas consumption was increased fivefold (from 100 cubic meters to 500 cubic meters).
Specifically, a "base norm" of up to 500 cubic meters per month was set for November-February, and up to 100 cubic meters per month for March-October.
This procedure applies in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region during October-February.
Therefore, starting today, March 1, until October 31, a "base norm" of up to 100 cubic meters per month applies.
We remind you that, based on the decisions of our President, the state provides monthly compensation to low-income families for the electricity and natural gas they use.
In particular, the compensation amount is provided for the portion exceeding the base norm: for electricity — up to 150 kW·h per month (beyond 200 kW·h); for natural gas — up to 250 cubic meters in winter months and up to 150 cubic meters in other months beyond the base norm.
"Previously, compensations were only applicable during winter months, but now they are provided monthly throughout the year," the report states.
