A missile launched from Iran was shot down in Turkish airspace.
The missile entered Turkish airspace through Iraq and Syria.

According to a statement released by the press service of the Turkish Ministry of Defense, a ballistic missile launched from Iran was intercepted by NATO air and missile defense units in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The missile's trajectory was directed towards Turkey through the airspace of Iraq and Syria.
As a result of the incident, some of the debris that fell to the ground reached the area of the Dörtyol district in Hatay province. The Ministry emphasized that they are remnants of the surface-to-air missile interception system. No one was harmed as a result of the incident.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense called on all parties to refrain from actions that could further escalate the conflict in the region.
"We reserve the right to respond to any hostile action against our country," the statement said.
