On March 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held telephone conversations with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

 

During the conversations, serious concern was expressed regarding the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, the damage to various infrastructure facilities in the region, and the risk factors. The parties noted the necessity of preserving peace and ensuring the safety of the population within the framework of international law principles.

 

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, for his part, expressed gratitude for the measures being taken regarding the safety of Uzbek citizens and their repatriation to the Homeland.

 

The parties also discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral strategic partnership and friendly relations.

 

The leaders of Kuwait and Qatar, in turn, expressed their gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for his words of sincere support and solidarity during these trying times.
