NATO will not interfere in the conflict related to Iran — Mark Rutte
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has stated that the alliance has "no plans" to participate in any U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the alliance will not become involved in conflicts related to Iran.
According to Rutte, the fact that some allies in NATO are utilizing all capabilities to support the US in military operations with Israel does not signify the alliance's involvement. The Secretary also noted NATO's air defense system reserves, stating they are sufficient.
At the same time, Rutte emphasized that for the faster development of the defense industry, Germany's Rheinmetall company and many other defense enterprises in Europe and the US are jointly carrying out necessary work.
"We are discussing Iran and the Gulf region — all of these are outside NATO territory. Regarding NATO territory, we maintain constant vigilance and ensure its reliable defense," Rutte added.
The Secretary General also said he does not agree with the view that the US has underestimated the situation. In his opinion, the actions of the US and Israel are very important and serve to limit Iran's potential to acquire nuclear weapons.
