Iran did not ask for help from Russia — Kremlin
Dmitry Peskov said that the war in the Middle East is not Moscow's war and that only the person who started it can stop it.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov informed journalists that Russia has not received any request from Iran for weapons or other practical assistance amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Peskov emphasized that Moscow will not intervene in the war in the Middle East beyond political guidance, and that this is not Russia's war.
"Russia strives to carry out actions that correspond to its interests, and it cannot stop this war; the side that started it can stop it," Peskov added.
The secretary also noted that the conflict in the Middle East will not affect fuel prices in Russia, as the market is controlled by anti-monopoly authorities. He stated that a final decision on halting gas supplies to Europe has not yet been made, and it was only given as an instruction to the government.
Russia and Iran signed a strategic cooperation agreement in 2025, but it does not entail mutual defense obligations.
This week, it was reported that Russia's representative at the UN condemned the attacks on Iran as "deliberate, pre-planned, and unjustified armed aggression."
