Difficult weather conditions have emerged in Moscow and the Moscow region due to heavy snowfall and wind. This was reported by Meduza.

According to reports, the weather sharply deteriorated starting from the night of April 26, and by Monday morning, the area was covered with thick snow. According to the Hydrometeorological Center, nearly half of the monthly precipitation norm fell in Moscow within one day. Up to another 10 millimeters of precipitation is expected to fall during April 27, and the snowfall may intensify further towards evening.

Due to the adverse weather, nearly 200 trees fell in Moscow and the region, damaging cars and power grids. Power supply interruptions were observed in some areas.

Serious disruptions were also recorded in the transport system. Due to fallen trees, bus routes in Moscow were altered. Traffic was temporarily suspended between some stations of the Moscow Metro.

Additionally, several flights were delayed at Vnukovo Airport, and trains heading to Moscow are operating with delays of up to 2.5 hours. Residents of the area reported numerous traffic accidents occurring on the roads.
Earlier, it was reported that a "dark yellow" level weather danger had been declared in Moscow and the region due to snow, ice, and strong winds.
