Blocking of Telegram has begun in Russia
Complaints have been received from various regions of Russia regarding the messenger not working.

On the morning of March 16, users in Russia reported problems with the Telegram messenger's operation. This was reported by Kommersant.
According to data from "Sboy rf," as of 11:00 Moscow time, more than 2,500 complaints about malfunctions in Telegram's operation had been received since the beginning of the day.
The Detector404 service recorded reports of over 8,000 malfunctions within a day.
"The most frequently reported problem by users is that no version of the messenger—web, desktop, or mobile—is working. More than half of the complaints came from Moscow and the surrounding region. Reports of malfunctions have also been received from St. Petersburg and other regions of Central Russia," the report states.
Last week, the State Duma stated that VPN services could be blocked in Russia within six months. According to the words of the deputy chairman of the Information Policy Committee, Andrey Svintsov, Roskomnadzor has the technical capability to control the traffic of such services, and special services have the authority to restrict or block them.
Roskomnadzor declined to comment on Svintsov's statement that "soon Telegram may also stop working via VPN."
According to a survey by "Ъ FM," experts say that the blocking of Telegram has already begun.
