The population will pay for another 50 cubic meters of gas at a reduced price from March 16 to 31.
For these 50 cubic meters of gas, consumers will also pay at the base rate price, that is, not 1800 soums, but 1000 soums.

Starting from March 16th, household consumers will pay for an additional 50 cubic meters of natural gas at the base rate price until the end of the month. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it was reported that due to a sharp drop in air temperature across the republic at the beginning of March, the monthly base norm for natural gas established for the heating season was extended until March 15th.
According to Uzhydromet, on March 16-20, air temperatures in the republic are expected to reach up to +22°C during the day and around +10°C at night. In this regard, from March 16th to November 1st, the base norm of up to 100 cubic meters of natural gas consumption per month will be in effect. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, this procedure will continue until October 1st.
According to calculations for March, the monthly base norm of 500 cubic meters, when distributed in equal shares for the first half of the month (March 1-15), amounts to 250 cubic meters. For the second half of the month (March 16-31), when the monthly base norm of 100 cubic meters is proportionally distributed, it equals 50 cubic meters.
Household consumers will also pay for these 50 cubic meters of gas at the price within the base norm, i.e., 1000 soums, not 1800 soums.
It was also stated that explanations regarding appeals related to natural gas consumption calculations will be provided by Khududgaztaminot JSC and its regional branches.
It is noted that, in accordance with the decision of the President of Uzbekistan, the state continues to allocate monthly compensation to low-income families for electricity and natural gas.
According to the decision, the compensation amount covers the portion of electricity consumption exceeding the base norm per month—up to 150 kWh beyond 200 kWh—and for natural gas, it covers the volume used exceeding the base norm up to 250 cubic meters in winter months and up to 150 cubic meters in other months.
Previously, compensations were provided only during the winter season, but now they are provided monthly throughout the year.
