The Pentagon is requesting over $200 billion for the war against terrorism.
Before the war, Donald Trump had proposed allocating $1.5 trillion for the defense budget.

The U.S. Department of Defense has submitted a request to Congress for the White House to approve an additional budget package exceeding $200 billion to finance a war with Iran. This was reported by the Washington Post.
It is reported that the proposed amount is significantly higher than the costs of the current air strikes and is aimed at increasing the production of critical weapons used in the war. Over the past three weeks, ammunition reserves have noticeably decreased as U.S. and Israeli forces have struck thousands of targets.
Some American officials who spoke with the publication emphasized that the Pentagon's such request has no real chance of being approved by Congress.
Reporting based on the Washington Post, TRTWorld wrote that this request could cause political debates in Congress.
"Democrats are criticizing the war, while Republicans are supporting additional funding," the report states.
Even before the war, Trump had proposed allocating $1.5 trillion for the defense budget, which had caused objections within the White House Office of Management and Budget.
Furthermore, $11 billion had already been spent in just the initial six days of the Iran war.
