Negotiations on the situation in the Middle East are being held in Pakistan.

Pakistan will host the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt on Sunday for talks on the war in the Middle East. Arab News reported this, citing Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the information, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdullatti will visit Islamabad on March 29-30 at the invitation of their Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a release that during the visit, the foreign ministers will hold in-depth discussions on a range of issues, including efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.

"This visit provides an opportunity to further strengthen Pakistan's cooperation and coordination with these countries in various mutually beneficial areas," the statement said.

Separately, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif informed on Saturday that he held a one-hour telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

"I reiterated Pakistan's unequivocal condemnation of Israel's ongoing attacks against Iran, including the recent attacks on civilian infrastructure, and expressed Pakistan's solidarity with the brave Iranian people," Sharif said, adding that he thanked Pezeshkian for his appreciation of Pakistan's peace efforts.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had earlier stated that the meeting was initially planned to be held in Turkey. Fidan later indicated that the meeting was moved to Pakistan because Pakistani officials had to remain in their country.
