The Australian sky turned red.
Cyclone Narelle caused destruction in Western Australia.

Despite weakening, the severe tropical cyclone "Narelle" observed in the northwestern regions of Western Australia continues to cause significant damage. Officials report that the extreme weather conditions have not yet concluded.
The cyclone has caused extensive damage in the town of Exmouth. Local residents were forced to remain in shelters overnight. Currently, the natural disaster is moving inland towards the state's Mid-West region.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, a large part of the Gascoyne and Mid-West coastal areas remains at risk. Although the cyclone is weakening, it could still cause significant damage to areas as far as Denham.
Forecasts indicate the potential for strong winds, heavy rainfall, and a dangerous storm surge along nearly 800 kilometers of coastline between Onslow and Denham.
Infrastructure Suffers Serious Damage
As the cyclone passed through the Exmouth area, wind speeds reached up to 250 kilometers per hour. As a result, roofs were torn off some buildings, and power and water supplies were cut off. The roof of the town's evacuation center was also damaged. It is estimated that around 40 people sought temporary shelter there.
In the northern town of Onslow, reports indicate streets were flooded and water entered homes. According to officials, no information about casualties has been received yet.
Due to the emergency, roads in the area have been closed, air travel suspended, school activities temporarily halted, and workers from mining operations have been evacuated.
Water Supply Disruptions
Residents of Exmouth and Onslow have been urged to restrict non-essential water use. Due to power outages, water pressure may drop and supply may be interrupted in Exmouth.
In Onslow, repair work is underway on damaged water pipes, which is affecting major water reserves.
Experts assess the situation as complex, but it was noted that repair work is being carried out promptly.
Cyclone Could Spread to Wide Areas
Officials have stated that the cyclone's effects could reach as far as the town of Perth and southwestern regions. Heavy rainfall is expected in these areas in the coming days.
According to expert calculations, rainfall could exceed 50 millimeters, although the likelihood of strong winds is relatively low.
At the same time, strong winds may be observed in the Kalbarri and Geraldton areas, with the greatest risk forecast for inland regions.
