State medical institutions have been transferred to a 5-day work week.
The weekly working hours for medical personnel do not exceed 36 hours.

Starting April 1, the working hours of state medical institutions in Uzbekistan will be transitioned to a five-day work week. This was established in the President's decree dated November 9, 2025, "On Measures to Support Medical and Pharmaceutical Personnel."
It is reported that under the new regime, to ensure the continuity of hospital operations, work on holidays and weekends will be organized on a duty basis.
By order of the Ministry of Health, a temporary procedure for organizing a five-day work week in state medical institutions has been approved.
Key rules to be applied from April 1:
• The weekly working hours for medical personnel will not exceed 36 hours;
• Reduced working hours will apply for those working in harmful and hazardous conditions;
• Work involving high mental and intellectual stress will also not exceed 36 hours;
• For non-medical personnel, the working hours will be 40 hours.
Working hours in polyclinics and family doctor offices:
• Monday–Friday: 08:00–20:00;
• Saturday: 08:00–14:00 (on a duty basis).
In areas where the new healthcare model has been implemented:
• Core working hours: 08:00–16:00;
• Additional duty hours: 16:00–20:00.
Duty is organized based on Order No. 254 of the Ministry of Health. Wages will be preserved and not reduced. Internal documents and employment contracts will be re-registered.
