Trump announced a photo of himself depicted as a "healing saint."
This image, created with the help of artificial intelligence, was posted after Trump criticized Pope Francis's statements on peace.

US President Donald Trump posted an image on social media depicting himself as a "healing saint." Trump did not add any commentary or caption to this image.
According to a DW report, before posting the picture, Trump sharply criticized Pope Leo XIV on his Truth Social platform. The Pope had made an appeal during a religious ceremony stating, "We need to sit at the negotiation table, not at the table where decisions leading to death are made." In response, Trump said the Pope was "bad" on political matters.
"I don't need a Pope who thinks it's okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons. I don't need a Pope who condemns US actions against Venezuela, while that country sends vast amounts of drugs to the US and, what's worse, releases prisoners from its own jails—including murderers, drug traffickers, and criminals—into our country. And I don't need a Pope who criticizes me for doing the job I was elected to do," wrote Donald Trump.
In the President's view, Pope Leo XIV should be grateful to him because he was only elected Pope due to being American.
"If I hadn't been in the White House, Leo wouldn't be in the Vatican," he added.
Donald Trump also called on the Roman Pope to use common sense and to be a Pope, not a politician.
On April 11th, during a prayer service for world peace, Pope Leo XIV, the first Pope elected from the US, emphasized that the Church has always called for peace.
