The purpose of installing radars is only to make money — deputy

Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Davron Aripov, stated that radars recording traffic violations have fallen into the hands of the private sector and have now become a source of income. It was also noted that complaints from the public regarding this issue are being received.

According to the deputy, some drivers have proven that speed was incorrectly measured by the radars. These cases are causing problems related to unjustly imposed fines.

In this regard, he emphasized the need to strengthen the responsibility of private entrepreneurs.

In Aripov's opinion, if drivers are subjected to unjustified fines due to technical errors or intentional miscalculations, entrepreneurs should fully refund the funds to the affected citizens.

He stressed that if such a mechanism is introduced, entrepreneurs' sense of responsibility in their work will increase.

Earlier, it was reported that a parliamentary inquiry was sent to the Minister of Internal Affairs regarding the operation of cameras and radars, and deputies requested explanations from the Ministry of Internal Affairs on unjustified fines, road signs, and the placement of radars.
