Trump could receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
Among the candidates, in addition to Trump, 286 other individuals are being considered.

The Secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee has announced that Donald Trump is among the nominees for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. In addition to Trump, 286 other individuals are being considered as candidates.
According to Kristian Berg Harpviken, 208 of the 2026 nominees are individuals, while 79 are organizations. He stated that Trump's name is on the list but has not yet been confirmed.
The leaders of Cambodia, Israel, and Pakistan have nominated Trump for the Peace Prize.
Besides Trump, other frequently mentioned names for the award include Yulia Navalnaya, the widow of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny; Pope Leo; and Sudan's volunteer aid group, the "Emergency Response Rooms."
Additionally, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Aaja Chemnitz, a Danish parliament member elected from Greenland, may also be among the nominees. Norwegian legislator Lars Haltbrekken has recognized their contributions to strengthening peace and trust in the Arctic region.
Concern over the health of the Iranian laureate
Harpviken stated that the committee is deeply concerned about the health of the 2023 prize laureate, Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. The condition of the activist, who suffered a heart attack in prison, is deteriorating, and her relatives say her life is at risk.
"We are seeing increasing international pressure. We hope Iranian officials will take note of this and release her so she can receive appropriate medical care," said Harpviken.
This year's Nobel Peace Prize laureate will be announced on October 9, and the award ceremony will take place on December 10.
It is worth recalling that the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, María Corina Machado, symbolically presented her medal to Trump in recognition of his contribution to political processes in Venezuela.
