In Kashkadarya, a compensation of nearly 11 billion soums was imposed on an enterprise that caused environmental damage.
It was found that construction and other types of waste were illegally disposed of on the factory premises, and wastewater mixed with petroleum products was dumped into open areas.

An additional compensation of nearly 11 billion soums has been imposed on the Muborak Gas Processing Plant in Kashkadarya due to environmental violations. The National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change reported this.
It was reported that construction and other types of waste were illegally placed on the plant's premises. This has had a negative impact on the environment, and it was noted that dust particles generated from the waste are causing atmospheric air pollution.
Additionally, it was found that during the process of burning harmful gases, sulfur, carbon, and nitrogen oxides were released into the atmospheric air in amounts exceeding the established norms.
It was revealed that wastewater generated from gas purification during the production process, mixed with petroleum products, is being discharged into open areas.
Regarding the situation, an additional compensation of 10 billion 834 million soums was imposed on the enterprise, and an instruction consisting of 7 mandatory points was issued. The collected documents have been sent to court.
Earlier, it was reported that on April 23, an oil-mixed liquid flowed into a river in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya. The incident was found to have occurred at a well belonging to the joint venture Surxan Gas Chemical Operating Company LLC. On May 2, due to a strong mudflow causing a ditch to break, another leakage of oil-mixed liquid occurred.
It was reported that investigative work is underway to determine the amount of damage caused to the environment, study the causes and factors, and provide a legal assessment of the activities of the responsible entity, including Surxan Gas Chemical Operating Company.
