A subsidy will be allocated for each breeding calf obtained from identified cows in households until 2030.

Starting July 1, 2026, in Uzbekistan, a subsidy will be allocated for each pedigree calf obtained from identified cows in households. This was established in the President's decision on the development of the livestock sector.

Additionally, from June 1, 2026, to January 1, 2029, the import of pedigree cattle, sheep, and goats into the territory of Uzbekistan will be exempt from value-added tax.
In accordance with the decision, loans will be allocated in a number of areas through commercial banks at an annual rate of 10 percent, of which 4 percent is considered the bank margin, for a period of up to 10 years with a 4-year grace period.
In particular:

The document also provides that, starting from the 2027 harvest, agricultural organizations will be allowed to plant fodder crops on 50 percent of the areas planned for cotton and grain cultivation based on land lease agreements. Cotton and grain will be grown on the remaining lands.
The decision aims to increase the number of cattle to 16.5 million, the number of sheep and goats to 30 million, and the number of poultry to 141 million in 2026–2028.
