The Tashkent city administration is proposing to set working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in city and district administrations, city departments, and their subordinate divisions.

According to the administration, many social institutions, some state organizations, and enterprises and organizations currently start their working day at 8:00 AM. Therefore, it is proposed that the city administration and its affiliated services also be ready to serve citizens starting from that time.
It is noted that harmonizing work schedules will help coordinate issues requiring the involvement of several agencies more quickly.
Additionally, according to the results of traffic flow analysis and modeling conducted by the Traffic Management Center, distributing the start times of work at organizations could reduce the load on the road network during morning peak hours.
If the new work schedule is introduced, lunch breaks will also be organized accordingly, with the aim of evenly distributing the load on traffic flows and public catering facilities throughout the day.
Before a final decision is made, a survey is being conducted among the residents of Tashkent. If the proposal is supported by the population, it will be submitted for agreement with trade union organizations in accordance with the established procedure.
The survey results will be summarized on August 28.
