In Andijan, an Internal Affairs officer who raped a minor girl has been detained.
An inspector from the Ministry of Internal Affairs on juvenile matters has been found to have had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl.

An employee of the Internal Affairs Department in Andijan was found to have committed a sexual crime against a minor. This was reported by the regional prosecutor's office in a statement.
According to the information, the prosecutor's office of the Qo'rg'ontepa district conducted pre-investigation checks regarding a minor girl born in 2010, who left her place of residence on June 3 and did not return.
During the investigation, it was established that S.B., who worked as an inspector-social worker at the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors of the Andijan Regional Internal Affairs Department, took the minor girl to a multi-story building in Andijan city and had sexual intercourse with her.
In connection with this incident, on June 4 of this year, a criminal case was initiated against S.B. under Article 128, Part 3, Clause "v" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and by a relevant court ruling, the preventive measure of "detention" was applied to him as a suspect.
Currently, preliminary investigative actions are being carried out by the prosecutor's office of the Qo'rg'ontepa district regarding this incident.
It is noted that the progress of the investigative actions is under the supervision of the regional prosecutor's office, and a lawful decision will be ensured in the end.
