Qamchibek Tashiyev was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
In Kyrgyzstan, a verdict has been pronounced for the defendants in the "75 Letters" case.

On July 2, the First May District Court of Kyrgyzstan issued a verdict in the "75 Letters" case. Akipress reported this.
It was reported that the court found all defendants not guilty on the charge of abuse of official authority. At the same time, on the charge of seizing power through violence, Kamchibek Tashiyev, Kurmankul Zulushev, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Kursan Asanov, Aaly Karashev, Emilbek Uzakbayev, Bekbolot Talgarbekov, and Kurmanbek Diykanbayev were sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
However, the court applied probation to them. As a result, all convicts were placed under probation supervision for a period of 3 years. Additionally, five defendants who were being held in custody were released from the courtroom. Their pre-trial detention measure was replaced with a written undertaking not to leave the country.
This case is related to the appeal — the "75 Letters" — in which a group of politicians and public figures called for early presidential elections. Following the publication of the appeal, a series of personnel changes occurred in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, Kamchibek Tashiyev was dismissed from his positions as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
In this case, former head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchibek Tashiyev, deputy Kurmankul Zulushev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, as well as Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Emilbek Uzakbayev, Aaly Karashev, Kurmanbek Diykanbayev, and Kursan Asanov were brought in as defendants.
They were accused of preparing to seize power through violence. Kamchibek Tashiyev was also charged with abuse of official authority.
Earlier, the state prosecutor had requested that all defendants in the case be sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment. In their final statements, the defendants asked the court to deliver an acquittal.
